SFC County Fair (August 25th-30th)

The St. Francis County Fair will be here.
Buildings open at 10 a.m.
Admission is from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
Talent Show is at 7 p.m.

Gates Open at 5 p.m.

Kids Day from 12 p.m. till 5 p.m. All rides are $1.
Armbands start at 6 p.m.

Admission is $2 for children 12 and under & for seniors 55 and up; It is $3 for all others. Armbands are $15.

Forrest City Class Reunion- Class of 1979 (August 29th-31st)

Legacy Week (August 27th- September 1st)

Barbecue Contest (September 5th & 6th)

Colt Pioneer Days (September 5th & 6th)

Annual Colt Pioneer Days will be at the William Stone House again this year. On the 5th the events will take place from 5pm till 8pm and on the 6th they will be from 9am till 3pm. Keep Arkansas Beautiful Campaign (September 6th- October 31st)

Blood Drive (September 12th)

There will be a blood drive in Forrest City at the Department of Work Force, 300 Eldridge Rd. It will be Friday, September 12th from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m.

Community Health Fair (September 13th)

There will be a Community Health Fair at the Forrest Civic Center on Saturday, September 13th from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. It is a free event.

Reunion (September 20th)

Cotton Pickin' Festival (September 26th & 27th)

Caldwell’s annual Cotton Pickin’ Festival is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26 & 27.  Activities include a silent auction, cake walk, kids’ games, and music.  Gospel singing starts the event at 6:00 Friday night.  Saturday events begin at 11 a.m.

Annual Autumn on the Square (September 27th)

The Annual Autumn on Square will be at the historic Downtown Court Square in Marianna. Women's Expo (October 7th)

Forrest City Medical will be having the Women’s Expo. It will be at the EACC Fine Arts Center again this year. The doors will open at 4:30pm for “Girlfriend Time” and the Lisa Welchel’s presentation will begin at 7:30pm. Crowley's Ridge Vo-Tech BBQ (October 3rd)

Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute will be hosting their 27th annual Vo-Tech Barbecue Friday, October 3rd. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. The drive thru will be open from 4-7 p.m. and the Student Center from 5-8 p.m. Door prizes will be given away hourly, and the Cummins Prison Band will provide entertainment until 9 p.m. 633-5411 for more info.

Children's Museum's 4th Annual Children's Ball (October 3rd or 4th)

The Children’s Museum in Memphis is having their 4th annual Children’s Ball. It will be themed after the movie “Frozen”. There are two dates to pick from, Friday, October 3rd or Saturday, October 4th. This formal-attire event includes dinner and activities. Parents must accompany the children, and reservations are required. Tickets for members are $35 a person and non-members are $50 a person. L'Anguille River Festival (October 11th)

Palestine’s L’Anguille River Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, beginning at 9 a.m. Activities include a barbecue cook-off, bungee jumping, an archery contest, silent auction, and crafts.

World AIDS Day (December 1st)

CPR Classes (Forrest City)

CPR Classes Forrest City Medical Center offers community CPR classes on the second Tuesday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon. The class is held in the hospital’s in-service classroom. Sistas Support Group

At First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas locations there is a benefit fund set up for Jarrett “Jett” Moore. It is to help with medical expenses. He was born with single ventricle defect and went through one surgery the day he was born. To donate stop by any location.
