SFC Elves Toy Project
The SFC Elves Toy Project is now underway for the
Christmas season. Your toy donations can be delivered to the
Forrest City Public Library, Sharpe, Beavers, Cline &
Wright, Southern Furniture, or the St. Francis County Museum
– all in Forrest City. Toys can be new or used but should be
clean and in working condition. Monetary donations will also

Turkey Giveaway (pick up ticket 11/19)
The New Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church in
partnership with the Arkansas Pastors for community
enhancement will give away One Hundred (100) Turkeys, on
November 20, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. You must have a ticket which
can be picked up, on Tuesday November 19, 2013 beginning at
10:00 a.m. at the Church, only one per Family.
Lady Mustang Stampede (11/19)
The Forrest City Lady Mustang basketball team will have a
meet and greet at Pops Place Restaurant & Grill on Tuesday,
November 19 from 6-8 p.m. It is a fundraiser for the team
and also a chance to meet them as they serve you. For more

Ducks Unlimited Banquet (11/22)
The Forrest City Ducks Unlimited Annual Banquet will be
held Friday, November 22nd at the Forrest City Civic Center.
The doors will open at 6:00pm. Tickets are $40 for singles
or $60 per couple. They also have sponsorships available.

Blood Drive - EACC (11/25)
EACC will host a Mid-South Regional Blood Center blood
drive on Monday, November 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in
Room B-129 in the EACC Learning Resource Center. Donors will
receive t-shirts while supplies last. A blood card or photo
id are needed for registration and screening. For more

Jewelry Sale - FCMC (12/06)
Forrest City Medical Center Auxiliary will have jewelry
sale fundraiser on Friday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. in the in-service classroom at Forrest City
Medical Center. Premier Designs will be onsite, selling $5 -
$25 priced jewelry and having a jewelry fashion show from
12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be
donated to the FCMC Auxiliary Scholarship program. For more

Forrest City Christmas Parade (12/06)
Forrest City Area Community Christmas Parade will be held
on Friday, December 6 starting at 7 p.m. at the Forrest City
Jr. High School parking lot. The parade theme is “Home for
Christmas”. Entry forms must be turned in by Monday,
December 2. For more information, call the Forrest City Area

Christmas at the William Stone House -
Christmas at the William Stone House will be held from
Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.; Monday,
December 9 through Friday, December 13 from 1-6 p.m. and
again on Saturday, December 14 from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. The
Children’s Shopping Room and Mrs. Santa’s Kitchen will be
open during these times. On Saturday, December 14, Santa
Claus will visit the house. A visit with Santa is free, and
pictures are available for a small fee. All proceeds go
towards the maintenance of the house. For more information,

Palestine Christmas Parade (12/07)
The Palestine Christmas Parade will be held Saturday,
December 7, beginning at 6 p.m. with a route through
downtown Palestine. For more information, call Palestine

Marianna/Lee County Christmas Parade
The Marianna/Lee County annual Christmas parade will be
held on Friday, December 13 at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is
“Deck the Halls”. Line-up will begin at 6 p.m. at the corner
of Main & Chestnut streets. For more information or to

Forrest City League Basketball (1/6/14)
City League Basketball registration for Forrest City and
surrounding area youth will continue through January 6,
2014, with the first game scheduled for January 14th. Fees
are $20 for those inside the city limits and $25 for those
living outside of Forrest City. Applications can be picked
up at the Larry Bryant Multi-Purpose and Wellness Center.

EACC Spring Semester Registration (tfn)
Early Registration is available now for the spring
semester at East Arkansas Community College. Registration is
available from 8:00am until 4:30pm at the Forrest City
campus. Spring class schedules are available on-line at
www.eacc.edu or at the Forrest City and Wynne campuses.
Spring 2014 classes begin on January 13th, 2014. For more

Caregiver Support Group
The East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging will host a St.
Francis county caregiver support group meeting on the third
Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m., at the EAAAA office on

Sistas & Others Meetings
Sistas & Others, a local organization for mothers who have
had a child die, meet the second Tuesday of every month, at
5:30 p.m. in the in-service classroom at Forrest City

People with Arthritis Can Exercise
P.A.C.E., People with Arthritis Can Exercise, classes are
held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
