High School Report to Public
Forrest City High School will hold its annual Report to the Public on Tuesday, October 25, at 5:00 p.m., in the high school lecture room. They will update the public on recent state results along with the goals and objectives for the year.
Forrest City Fall Fun Fest
Breath of Life Christian Center will present the Forrest City Fall Fun Fest on Thursday, October 25, from 6:30-8:30, at Forrest City Civic Center. There will be candy, food and games for all ages. Admission is free. For more information call 901-373-7219.

Early voting for the General Election has started and will continue until Monday, November 7. Early voting will be conducted at courthouses around the state each Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 6:00 and Saturdays from 10:00-4:00. Election Day is Tuesday, November 8.
Free Flu Shots
Lee County Health Unit in Marianna will hold their mass flu clinic on Thursday, October 27, from 7:00-5:30. They will be giving out free flu shots but you must bring your insurance card. For more information call 870-295-2400.

Alcoholics Anonymous & Al Anon Meetings are held at 568 W. Chestnut in Marianna every Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
Driver's License Class
Classes for a Driver's License are held each Thursday at the Lee Co. Courthouse. The written exam is given at 1:00 p.m., and the driving portion is at 9 a.m.

41st Freedom Fund Banquet
The St. Francis County Branch NAACP will host its 41st Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m., at Forrest City Civic Center. Village Creek Trick-or-Treat
Village Creek State Park will host its annual Trick-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 29, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Visitor's Center. The first 500 kids will get a free treat bag and flashlight. There will also be a pumpkin contest, costume awards, and many other fun events. There is a $5 parking fee, but the event is free. For more information call 870-238-9406.
Mississippi River State Park is having a Fall Kayaking tour on Saturday, October 29, at 2:30 p.m., at Hornor Neck Lake. The tour costs $12 and it includes a kayak rental (the price does not change if you bring your own). For more information on any events call 870-295-4040.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans Workforce Alliance will host a fashion show on Saturday, October 29, at 6:00 p.m., at Forrest City Civic Center. There will be clothes from local shops. Forrest City Post Office Fundraiser
Month of October
During the month of October, Forrest City Post Office will be selling breast cancer awareness stamps. They are $12 a sheet. All proceeds will go to breast cancer research.
There will be a Harvest Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday, October 30, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, on Rosser St. in Forrest City. There will be popcorn, hotdogs, games and bounce houses. For more information call 870-633-2382.
JA and Forrest Street Trunk or Treat
Junior Auxiliary of Forrest City will host a Trunk or Treat in coordination with Forrest Street on Monday, October 31. Junior Auxiliary will be located in the yard of the Campbell House at 5:00 p.m. and the Trunk or Treat for Forrest Street will start at 5:30 p.m. Junior Auxiliary is also asking for can donations for their Angel Tree and they can be brought to the Trunk-or-Treat event. 11th Annual Peebles Farm Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze
The 11th Annual Peebles Farm Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is now open daily until Monday, October 31. The farm is located at 100 Woodruff 249 in Augusta, AR, and open from 9:00-6:00. Chicken and Dressing Sale

The First United Methodist Women's Group will be hosting a Chicken and Dressing Sale this year instead of their usual beef stew. They will begin selling on Thursday, October 6, and continue until Sunday, November 6. You can place an order at any time by calling 870-633-4196 or 870-633-7478. It is $12 for a small dish (measures around an 8x8 pan) and $20 for a large (about a 9x13 pan). Pick-up day for all orders is Friday, November 18, from 10:00-5:00, at their UMAC Building. Retired Teachers Meeting
A Retired Teachers meeting for Lee County will be held on Wednesday, November 2, at noon in the board room at Whitten Elementary School. Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month.
Homeschool Education Classes
Mississippi River State Park will host a homeschool education class one Thursday out of each month. These classes are set up to cover the nature and history of Crowley's Ridge, the St. Francis River and the Mississippi River. The next class is scheduled for Thursday, November 3, at 10:00 a.m. There is no fee but pre-registration is required. The final class will be on Thursday, December 8. 3rd Annual Pop-Up Event

ECOS Lil'Fishhook Theatre Performance
ECOS Lil'Fishhook Theatre will perform on Saturday, November 5, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at 300 College Street in Elaine, AR. Forrest City Landfill will be giving away mulch on Saturday, November 5, from 8:00-noon. Free mulch is given away the first Saturday of every month.
Caring and Sharing Market
